Melaina...A Wonderful Wednesdays Challenge!

Welcome to another Wonderful Wednesday challenge and the last one for March!! And as always....it's ANYTHING GOES!!

Your submission must use at least one Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp but can be any theme, any style, any design and it can be a card, a scrapbook page, an altered item....you name it!! It must be a NEW creation and you can enter on this post until Tuesday, April 1st when the winner for March will be announced!! What do you think.....wanna WIN??

**Please note that you are more than welcome to combine this Wonderful Wednesday Share to Win challenge with other challenges, BUT not our regular weekly challenges. This must be a new and different creation than anything you create for our Saturday challenges.

I pulled out one of the fabulous Kraftin' Kimmie Sprites...this is Melaina.I used some older Prima papers, distressed the edges and sponged them with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Her dress was paper-pieced...I added some shading to the dress with my makers.The paper doily was sponged with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The flower is also Prima. I centered it with a vintage brad and added some vines cut with a Memory Box Die. I also added a little key charm. Melaina was stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa and coloured with Copics. I used a thin Copic multiliner to add some definition to the eyes. I love stamping in brown ink because it gives such a soft look, but sometimes you need a little black to make thing pop. ;) I also went over her eyebrows with my E33 to tie them in with her hair. By the way, that hair is a blast to colour!! The background was created by stippling in various browns, keeping the darkest colour closest to the image and fading it out towards the edges. The ink was applied with a light "pouncing" motion. The final marker used in this technique was the colourless blender to mimic a watercolour effect. Oh, and I added some Stardust Stickles to her wings.

Time for a New Release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

We're so excited! It’s our MARCH RELEASE Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! And we’re celebrating with a KRAFTY HOP!! So grab yourself a cuppa joe, sit back and be prepared for some krafty eye kandy! We're going to inspire your creations with our fun, new stamps!

Over the last few days in our Krafty Peeks, we have shared lots of AMAZING new stamps from all our artists for our March release! We’ve got something for everyone!! We’ve got a very unique new SLOTH set from Thai called WANNA HANG? There's an awesome new a-MOO-zing new set from Cheryl called DOWN ON THE FARM 2! Lastly, we are SO excited to share a SASSY new Moonlight Whispers stamp set....SHOW STOPPERS!

My hop card features one of the brand new Show Stoppers...I adore this image! I stamped her Memento Rich Cocoa...I love the softer look of the brown ink. She was coloured with Copics. The corner embellishments are Fancy Flower and Key Corner from Dies by SCACD and the flourishes are a Memory Box die. I love these papers, but they were the last snippets in my scrap box. They are a few years old, and I think they may be been from TPC, but I'm not sure. All paper edges were distressed and sponged with brown ink. I added some dollar store pearls as a finishing touch.

"Hay There!"...a Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!

Welcome back to day THREE of our MARCH Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! The awesome new stamps just keep on comin'!!

We are SO thrilled to share the newest set of THREE images with matching sentiments from CHERYL! With the popularity of a set we released last year, we have continued on with the farm theme so today we're showing you the new set called DOWN ON THE FARM 2!!

This week our challenge hostess is TANGII! And her challenge is ANYTHING GOES!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp with no restrictions! Use any sketch, any design, any embellishments because Anything Goes! Have some krafty fun and join us this week because we'd LOVE to see your KKS designs. Here's my card for the Anything Goes challenge. I chose to work with this sweet image of a boy with his horse...it's one of three main images from the Down On the Farm 2 set! I was so horse crazy as a kid. I took riding lessons and even worked on a couple of horse farms. I had subscriptions to horse magazines. I collected figurines. My sketch books were FULL of horses. I went to summer horse camps...I couldn't get enough of them.  I coloured the image with copics and added some addition shading with Conte crayons after the markers. The sentiment is part of the set.

Show Stoppers! (Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peeks!)

Welcome back to Day TWO of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps MARCH previews!!! We are back with a fabulous new Moonlight Whispers stamp set. You'll love these two sassy showgirls along with the four fun sentiments called SHOW STOPPERS!! There are lots of amazing creations on today's hop featuring both new images and sentiments from the set!! We know you are just going to LOVE these classy, sassy ladies and be inspired by all the fun designs!!

At the end of my post, you will find all the Krafty Girls who have goodies to show you today and while you're visiting their blogs, be sure to leave some love at each stop because one lucky stamper is going to WIN a package of today's stamps!! Woohoo!!! (winners will be announced at the online release party on Saturday night...more info on that below!)

I absolutely LOVE this new set...these show stopper are so glamorous!! For today's card, I inked up the short-haired show stopper and coloured her with Copics. Her feathers, outfit and shoes were given some pizzazz with Stardust Stickles. The flourish is an MFT die. The other elements were cut out with various Spellbinder sets. I pulled out some old paper flowers that I picked up years ago at the dollar store and centered them with a Prima rhinestone embellishment. Finally, I added some single rhinestones for accents. All paper edges were distressed and sponged with black ink.
