Rayne

Good morning Krafty friends! Hope you've all had a great week.

Our weekly Kraftin' Kimmie challenge is brought to us by our lovely hostess, Karen who want us to play Tic Tac Toe. She's created a fun game board with different embellishments/elements. Your task this week is to choose any three of those elements for your projects that form a row vertically, horizontally or diagonally. (You can find the Tic Tac Toe board on the KKS Blog)

For my card, I chose to use Blue, Gems and Dies which formed a diagonal line on the challenge game board. This gorgeous sprite is Rayne. I absolutely LOVE how her hair transforms into water...which of course meant that her hair just had to be blue! I think this may have been my first time attempting locks of this colour! I used several different dies on my card. The corners are Contempo Compass Statement Corner from Dies by SCACD. The image was cut out and matted with Spellbinders. The flourishes are a combination of Memory Box and MFT dies. I also added a few rhinestones for the gems.

Rayne was stamped on Neenah and coloured with Copics. I added a bit of Stardust Stickles to her wings.

Make sure to pop by the KKS Blog to check out what the rest of the Krafty Girls have created for the Tic Tac Toe challenge. If you play along this week, you could be the lucky winner of the stamp seen on Karen's gorgeous project. Just make sure to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp to be eligible.

A few things to note:

Fairy Dust...Release Day at SCACD!!

Hi crafty friends! Welcome to the release day blog hop with SCACD. Just wait until you see the gorgeous new stamps Susana has in store for you this month. Here's a message from Susana about the new stamps:

Today SCACD is introducing the Fairy Dust Collection!!! These are 6 sweet and sassy Fairies that just make you smile and brighten the day :D  Elisabeth Bell sprinkled just the right amount of cute, charm and gorgeous on to these special little fairies. These are stamps for right now but also classics to use years from now :D

If you've been following along with the hop, you should have arrived here after visiting with our lovely guest, Kim Dellow

I adore fairy stamps. I absolutely love colouring them! So I've been really excited to get busy creating with the Fairy Dust Collection. For my first card today, I'd like to introduce you to Time Flys. Ok, I'm in LOVE with this funky steampunk fairy. Seriously, isn't she fabulous?? I paired her up with some awesome papers from Carta Bella "Well Travelled". Love this paper pad. :)  I also used one of my favourites Dies by SCACD, Alice's Clock Statement Corner

Time Flys was stamped on Neenah and coloured with Copics.

Up next, is a pretty little fairy called Believe in the Unseen. The papers on the card are from Teresa Collins "Memories". I also used two of the newest Dies by SCACD, Contempo Compass Statement Corner and Steampunk Wings. I cut out four Steampunk wings to create the doily effect behind the image panel. These wings are AMAZING, and you get both wings in the die set. They are perfect for so many different applications...I have a million ideas running through my head. :)

Believe in the Unseen was stamped on Neenah and coloured with Copics. Startdust Stickles were used on her wings. I used several Distress Inks to sponge around the fairy. I also used the wonky clock stamp from the Follow Your True Heart set to create a bit of a border around the image. I decided to create a sky behind the frame in the image to make it appear as those she is peeking outside, but you could also colour this as a key hole or even an enchanted mirror...so many great possibilities!!

The new Fairy Dust Collection and all the Dies by SCACD are now available for purchase at SCACD

Our international friends can find the stamps and dies at Quixotic Paperie

It's my pleasure to send you off to visit with another lovely guest designer, Wendy Ramlakhan.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy the hop!

Earth Angel

Hey friends! Hope you're all having a great week. :)

I'm sharing a card today featuring the beautiful Earth Angel from SCACD. I absolutely love the Guardian Angel stamps. I stamped her on Neenah cardstock and coloured her with a combination of Copics and ShinHans. She was matted with Spellbinders. The paper is from Memory Box.

I decided to make an easel card and used one of the newest designs of Dies by SCACD, Contempo Compass Statement Corner. I love these dies. The designs are so beautiful and intricate. I cut it out of Neenah and coloured it with Copics. I trimmed off one edge and popped it up on foam squares. I added  a few pearls to finish it off.

Make sure to pop by SCACD to check out all the great products now in stock. For example:

Jack and Jill...Release day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Good morning and welcome to release day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Over the last several days, we've shared sneak peeks of all the amazing April stamps that are now available for purchase. There's the new BFF Trinkets designed by Nicole Aspinall, Fabulous Frames 2 designed by Annie Rodrigue, two sets by Cheryl Alger called Sunshiney Day and Let's Dish the Dirt, and six nursery rhyme characters by Annie Rodrigue! You'll get to see many of these stamps on today's release day blog hop. (The complete hop list will be included at the end of my post)

I used another of Annie's amazing nursery rhyme stamps for my card today. This fun pair is of course Jack and Jill. The papers are Cosmo Cricket. The images was cut out and matted with Spellbinders and the decorative edges are also Spellbinders.

Jack and Jill were coloured with Copics. I created a fun outdoor scene for Jack and Jill including that infamous hill in the background. ;) Typically, I just use a cloud template and sponge my skies in. However, Krafty Girl Alyce has really sparked an interest with us to colour our own skies. While the templates make for a great quick method of doing a sky, this allows you much more control. You can create as many clouds as you wish and of course they will appear more realistic as you can vary the shapes and contours. The grass works up quite quickly...lots of little flicks of various greens.

Skin: E000, E00, E11, RV95  Jack's hair: E50, E31, E33, E37, E59, BV29  Jill's hair: E50, Y21, YR31, E13, E17, E18, E59  Jill's Dress: R22, R27, R46, R59, C7, BV29, BG11, BG72, BG75, C7  Jack's pants: B21, B23, B45, B97, C7, BV29  Jack's shirt: C00, C1, C3, C5  Jack's vest: G20, G82, G85, G99, C7, BV29  Grass: YG00, YG03, YG63, YG67, G20, G21, G95, G99, BG96, C7, BV29  Well: W00, W1, W3, W5, W7  Sky: BG0000, BG000  Clouds: C00, C1, C3, BV31, BG0000, blender

On the back of my card, I've used one of the designs from the Fabulous Frames 2 set. (the greens are a bit off...sorry, I was having issues with the photograph) Jack and Jill were stamped in brown ink on kraft cardstock and I added a bit of subtle colour.

The new April stamps will be available at 2:30 EST today at the KKS Online Store! You can purchase them individually or as sets with the Gimmie Kimmie Kits which are divided by artist and available at a great discount price. Fabulous Frames 2...A Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!

Hey krafty friends!! We've got another round of previews for the April release at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. Today we are introducing Fabulous Frames 2. This is a great set featuring two different frames and several great sentiments. These frames are so versatile. They are perfect for showcasing your favourite image, for highlighting a sentiment, for inserting an actual photo, for creating a journalling space, for decorating the inside of your card...so many great possibilities!

This is one of the designs from Fabulous Frames 2. I stamped it on Neenah with brown Memento ink, used Copics to add some subtle shading (W00, E40, E42, E43, E47) and then carefully cut it out.  I used an element from Spellbinders Parisian Accents and some pink design paper as a backing in the frame. This pretty Mother's Day trinket was released last month...it's part of the Springtime Trinkets. It was inked up with Distress Ink (Stormy Sky, Victorian Velvet and Tumbled Glass). The paper is MME Madison Ave.

Make sure to hop around and leave comments for all the Krafty Girls sharind sneak peeks today. Kimmie will be choosing a lucky winner from the comments who will win the Fabulous Frames 2 set! Here's a list of today's sneak peeks:

Dance

Hi crafty friends! I'm sharing a card featuring one of the fantastic new stamps from the Blank Canvas  Collection #2 from SCACD. This is Solid Blank Canvas Leap of Faith. I love the unbridled joy of this silhouette stamps...so much fun! The music score paper is actually from a Halloween pad from Authentique. I also used the wonky clock stamp from the Follow Your True Heart set to stamp randomly around the edge of the paper to create a border. The other sheet of design paper is from Prima. The decorative corners were cut with Dies by SCACD. The smaller one is Classic Corner Dies and the larger one is Fancy Flower and Key Corners. I also used a Memory Box Die for the flourish. All paper edges were distressed and sponged with black ink.

Have you stopped by the SCACD website recently?? There are so many great new products, along with the staple items we all need for our creative processes. Here are a few to check out:

Tatiana

Hey Krafty peeps!

Welcome to another challenge with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This week our hostess the incredibly talented  Krista. She would like to see Flowers on your projects...such a great challenge for spring. :)

I've used Tatiana on my card today. I had actually coloured her up during the preview week for March's release, but hadn't had a chance to put her on a card yet. The papers are some older Prima sheets. I added some Make It Crafty Chipboard corners, some pearls, flourishes cut with a Memory Box Die and a glitter Prima rose.

Tatiana was stamped and coloured on Neenah with Copics. Are you loving that gorgeous frame??? That is one of two designs in the newly released Fabulous Frames set. This set also comes with several versatile sentiments. Rather than masking my image, I just fussy cut the frame out after colouring it, placed it over my image to mark the spots on her hair and wings that I wanted to extend beyond the frame and then snipped along the image outline a bit. I then slipped the frame into place and trimmed the background paper to fit. When assembling the card, I added a tiny foam pop dot under her wings to give a bit of dimension. Her wings were given a bit of sparkle with a thin coat of Stardust Stickles.

We'd love to have you join us for the Flower challenge this week. If you do, you could win the stamp Krista used on her gorgeous project...just make sure to use a KKS image to be eligible. For more flowery inspiration, pop on over to the KKS Blog to check out what the rest of the Krafty Girls have created this week.
