A Koala-ty Friend!

Hey everyone!! Welcome to day ONE of our JULY Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! We have so many goodies in store for you and we've been itchin' to share them! So here we GO!!

We are SO thrilled to share the newest set of furry friend stamps from artist THAIS NARCISO! This super sweet set is called A KOALA-TY FRIEND!!

These koalas are so sweet and a lot of fun to colour! This is one of three main images in the set. The set also contains several coordinating sentiments. I stamped the image on Neenah paper with Memento Desert Sand Ink and coloured with Copics. The vines are a Memory Box die and the paper is MME.

Avast, Me Hearties!

Good morning everybody and welcome to another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This week, our hostess is Miss Kraftin' Kimmie herself and she's created a fun sketch to play along with! We hope you participate in the challenge for your chance to win...just make sure to use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp on your submission!

I used one of the adorable stamps from the new Lil' Swashbucklers set. The sentiment is also from the set...I just stamped the words individually to have them in their own circles to fit with the sketch layout. I stamped Lucas in Memento Desert Sand ink, coloured him with Copics, fussy cut him out and adhered him to the map patterned paper...what pirate doesn't love a good treasure map?! Oh, and speaking of patterned paper, make sure to check out all the gorgeous paper pads at the KKS Shop...you'll find them HERE. I added a couple of buttons and some twine to finish it off.

Fearless Fairy Tales Rapunzel (Little Miss Muffet Stamps)

I'm so excited and very honoured to be participating in this awesome release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps!! These new Fearless Fairy Tales stamps are amazing. I LOVE colouring fairy tales images, and I love them even more when they're just a little edgy ;) It's such a privilege to be playing along with this very talented group of colourists. Their work always inspires me and leaves me in awe of their skills. You're in for quite the treat today as you visit their blogs to see what they've created with the Fearless Fairy Tales.

My card today features Rapunzel from the Fearless Fairy Tales. It's hard to choose a favourite from this collection, as they are all incredible images...which is why you will likely want each stamp. ;)  I love all the details in this image: the folds in the fabric, the intricate stonework of the tower, those gnarly hands of the witch and of course that hair!! I used some old papers from a DCWV stack and distressed them quite heavily with my scissors followed by Walnut Stain Distress Ink. The birdcage is from Dies by SCACD and the flourishes are an MFT die that I cut up and added in small bits. I added a few Prima flowers centred with a pearl. I'm not sure where I picked up that metal filigree flower...I added a bit of ink with my Copics to antique it as it was way too shiny and new looking for my taste. ;)  Rapunzel was coloured with Copic markers. After finishing with the markers, I added a touch of white coloured pencil to the dress. I also added some additional shading with a black Conte Crayon applied with a paper blending tortillon.

I made a little note card featuring the BFF Trinkets set. The KK Trinkets are so versatile. They can be used as the focal point of a project, as a sentiment with an image, on gift packaging, in journals, on scrapbook pages...so many possibilities! This trinket was stamped in Versafine Ink and matted on Spellbinders Lacey Circles. The flourish is an MFT die and the embellishment is from Prima. June Release Day...Pirates!!

It's June Release Day at KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS!! We’re celebrating with a fun blog hop featuring all of the new stamps...so glad you could join us!

The front of my card features my favourite stamp this month. This sassy pirate lass is one of two main images in the Bootylicious set by Annie. In case I haven't told you all, I love pirates. lol I stamped her in Memento Desert Sand and coloured her with Copics. (this is the image I coloured during our online Krafty Krop yesterday...if you attended, you may have seen my "in progress" pictures) The papers are from a Carta Bella pad. All paper was distressed with scissors and black ink. Those pretty hinges on the left hand side were cut with Ornate Hinge from Dies by SCACD. I added a bow and an antiqued key to finish it off. 

I also finished the inside of my card with another new stamp from the Under The Sea 2 set by Thais. Isn't this little octopus fun?! Although, I am wishing I had coloured the starfish in something other than bright orange...doesn't really go with the card. lol  The flourish is an MFT die and the corner embellishement is Contempo Compass Statement Corner from Dies by SCACD. 

Just wanted to give a shout out to all our Krafty friends who attended the Krop and the Release Party on Facebook yesterday...I had so much fun hanging out with everybody!! It was fun to chat and see what everybody was working on. I'm already looking forward to next time!

Lil' Swashbucklers

Welcome back to day THREE of our JUNE Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks! Today we are sharing the newest set of THREE images with matching sentiments from Chery called LIL' SWASHBUCKLERS!

All paper edges were distressed and sponged with Black Soot Distress Ink. Those fun corner embellishments were cut with Contempo Compass Statement Corner from Dies by SCACD.

Bootylicious! (A Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek!)

Welcome back to Day One of the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps JUNE previews!!! We are kicking things off with a fabulous new Moonlight Whispers stamp set by Annie Rodrigue called BOOTYLICIOUS featuring two gorgeous female pirates!! You'll find a bounty of gorgeous creations on today's hop featuring both new images and sentiments from the set. You might see some old pirate sets along the way.....such as Billy Blyth, Cutthroat Lizzie, Polly, Captain Scurvy and our Pirate Sentiments set! (links to all of today's sneak peeks will be near the end of my post)

I have been SO excited to play with the new Bootylicious Set!! I absolutely LOVE pirates, and these stamps are a blast to colour! These new pirate lasses by Annie work perfectly with the older KKS pirates, so I decided to make a little scene. I first stamped Billy Blyth (one of my favourite stamps!!) in Memento Desert Sand. Billy works so perfectly with this stamp since he also has a little treasure chest tucked under his arm. I then created a mask for him and stamped the sassy female pirate from Bootylicious over the mask.  The scene was coloured with Copic markers and cut out with Spellbinders. I used two fun sentiments from another older set, Pirate Sentiments, "Yo Ho Ho" and "A Pirates Life for Me!". It's great to be able to show your older stamps a bit of love! The sentiments were stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink. All paper edges were distressed and sponged with the Walnut Stain ink. I added a bit of twine and a key to tie in the with treasure chests as finishing touches.
