Good morning crafty friends! :)
I've got a couple of projects to share with you today featuring exclusive stamps and dies available at SCACD.
This pretty silhouette stamp is No Boundaries Woman from the Mixed Media Blank Canvas collection. The image was stamped on watercolour paper in Archival Ink. The background was created with washes of Luminarte Mica Powders in Blue Flame and Teal Zircon. I also brushed some of the colour wash over the design papers to tie them in. The corners were created with Classic Corner Dies by SCACD and the flourish is a Memory Box Die. The paper is from Authentique, and the butterflies were cut out from some of the design papers in the paper pad. You can check out the entire selection of 6x6 pads at SCACD HERE.
Next up is one of the recently released Curiosities. This is Clueless who comes with the fun coordinating sentiment. I used a manilla tag and created a background using inks. Susana carries a fantastic variety of sprays and inks that could also be used to create backgrounds, so make sure to check out Art Anthology, Luminarte, Dylusions sprays and Distress Stains. The tag was then run through my cuttlebug with a Couture Creations embossing folder. This sentiment comes with another Curiosity, The Thinker, and was stamped in Versafine Ink. The image was stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with a combination of Copics and Shinhans. I also added a couple of corner elements cut with the Classic Corner Dies by SCACD.

Elementary!
Good morning folks! Hope you've all had a great week. :)
Our challenge this week over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog is "Fussy Cutting", brought to us by our lovely and talented hostess Amanda. I love this challenge as I fussy cut almost every image I colour, lol.
I used my favourite stamp from the newly released Lovely Literature collection by Krafty Artist Annie Rodrigue, the ever so dashing Sherlock Holmes. I absolutely LOVE the frame Annie created for him, and how the tendrils of smoke extend outside the frame. Sherlock comes with two sentiments, one of which is "Elementary" as seen on my card. Incidentally, has anybody been watching the new series Elementary this year?? I love it! I paired Sherlock up with some great papers from Bo Bunny Timepiece. Everything was distressed for a masculine feel. After fussing cutting the image, I mounted it on a layer cut with Spellbinders. The two corner embellishments were cut with Dies by SCACD, the upper is Classic Corner Dies and the lower is Alice's Clock Statement Corner.
Sherlock was stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, RV95 Hair: E50, E31, E33, E37, E59 Hat and Coat: E40, E42, E43, E47, E59 Green Cuff: G82, G85, E42 Cape: R22, R27, R46, R59, C5, C7, BV29 Pipe: E21, E25, E29, Y17 Smoke: BG70, W00, W1, W3, W5, colourless blender Frame: C00, C1, C3, C5, C7 Background: E21, E25, E29, E42

"Nancy Drew"...A Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek!
Hi krafty friends!! Are you ready for another sneak peek of the new Kraftin' Kimmie February stamps being released tomorrow?? The Krafty Girls and our Krafty Guest will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps by Krafty Artist Annie Rodrigue today in conjunction with our weekly challenge! The challenge is super simple..."Anything Goes", and our lovely hostess is Jenny.
So what has Annie created this month?? How about "Lovely Literature"? Annie has brought six beloved characters from literature to life: Little Orphan Annie, Scarlett O'Hara, Sherlock Holmes, Nancy Drew, Anne of Green Gables and Mary Poppins!!
I have always been an avid reader. I absolutely love getting engrossed in a good book! For today's card, I decided to use a character from books that I loved as a young girl, Nancy Drew! I read so many of these books and had a collection of several, many procured from a used book store that I would frequent with my best friend. After making my card, I decided to search through some of my old books and found a few old Nancy novels...just perfect for staging my card today! (you'll notice the one is quite tattered...that was definitely one my my used book store finds!) Another happy coincidence is that I used yellow paper on the card which matches the yellow spines on the books perfectly! The papers are My Mind's Eye and the fun sentiment comes with Nancy Drew. The corner embellishments are Make It Crafty Chipboard.
Nancy Drew was stamped on Neenah in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, RV42 Hair: E50, YR31, Y23, E31, E33, E59 Clothes: BG70, BG72, BG75, R81, R85, R59, E18, G82, G85, C5, C7
BLOG CANDY: You've got two chances to win!! First, enter our weekly challenge for the chance to win the stamp featured on Jenny's beautiful project! Second, hop around to visit all the Krafty Girls and Krafty Guests participating in today's sneak peeks and leave comments on their blogs for the chance to win some of Annie's new February stamps. Kimmie will be drawing two winners who will each win three of the new stamps. (The winners will be announced at the Online Release Party, as detailed below!)

Love is in the Air with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!
Welcome to our weekly challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This week our hostess is Sandie and her challenge is Love is in the Air!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item either with love as the main theme! That should be easy this time of the year!! Have some krafty fun and join us this week because we'd LOVE to see your KKS designs. We hope you can play along!!! HEY! Did you know that we've got a few of our most LOVERLY stamps on SALE in our VALENTINE SPECIALS right now??
I created a tag for the challenge this week. I used some white and blue acrylic paint on an Inksentials manilla tag. I stamped the flourishes in black ink. I used an older retired Scripture verse stamp on the top layer that was cut out with Spellbinders. I then went over that verse with more paint so that it was barely visible. I then stamped Dashing Dancers over top...I was trying to go for that layered look that many mixed media artists use on their pieces. Not so sure I was terribly successful, lol. The heart is a Kaisercraft wooden accent that was painted black. The bow was centered with a Prima embellishment and a few rhinestones were added for a finishing touch.
Don't forget about our Frugal Friday Specials that are on this weekend! Six of our favourite images on special 30-50% OFF but just until Sunday night!
Also our NEW Krafty Klubhouse Kit called FEATHERS AND FUR is now available! PLUS, if you order now, you'll receive your CHOICE of a free stamp! See the website for all the details!
Check out the wonderful creations by our Krafty Girls and Guests featuring this week's challenge over at the KKS Blog!! If you join us and play along, you could WIN a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!!!
