"Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2" Release Day at SCACD!!

Good morning and welcome to release day at SCACD!! First of all, I must apologize as yesterday I had posted that we were having a blog hop today...I completely forgot that we're changing things up a bit for this release, and trying something a little different! Today, the final three images in the Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2 are being revealed over on the store blog Follow Your Heart by:

  • Suzanne

  • Colleen

  • Anki

  • The exclusive Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2 was illustrated by artist Victoria Case for SCACD. It actually includes two separate sets, "The Retro Crew" and "Heart and Hugs The Fun Collection". (when purchased as complete sets, you will receive a bonus sentiment stamp!)

A few other member of the design team decided to make an extra card to celebrate today's release...including me. My card today features the adorable new stamp named "LOL"...she's part of the "Hearts and Hugs" set. This is such a cute image, and so perfect for today's generation of youth...well, actually it's not just the youth who are permanently attached to their electronic devices!! You can't get through a day without seeing someone texting or emailing...remember the days when we didn't all need to be accessible 24/7?? Makes me feel old, lol. But we all adapt right? Quite honestly, I rely on texting and emailing more often than actual telephone calls anymore, as it is usually more convenient...and yes, I'm completely guilty of adopting the short forms used in this method of communication as well. :) See...I even do the sideways smiley face!! The patterned papers are Basic Grey (Olivia)...the red panel is a scrap of MME paper. The flourishes were cut with Spellbinders Doodle Parts. The pearls were created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White. I did up the sentiment on my computer and chose a font that looked like typewriter print. It was matted on a Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio.

"LOL" was stamped on Neenah cardstock in Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers. I added some Stardust Stickles to her slippers...just because all girls need a little "glam". :) The image was cut out with some oval Spellbinders. I sponged around the image and sentiment with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

    Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Hair: E50, E31, E33, E37, E59 Shirt: R22, R27, R46, R59, B91, B93, B95, B97 Pants: B91, B93, B95, B97, C5, C7 Slippers: BG10, BG11, BG15, BG09, C5, C7, blender Stool: G20, G82, G85, G99, C5, C7, R22, R27, BG10, BG11, BG09 Laptop: C5, C3, C1, C00

    Here Comes the Sun

Good morning folks!! The challenge over at Sundays With Crissy this month is Here Comes The Sun. This is open to your interpretation! You could use sunny colours, summertime images, include an actual sun on your project...so many possibilities!

I decided to pull out one of my favourite stamps that Crissy illustrated for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...this stunning fairy is Ophelia. (You can find all the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps by Crissy Armstrong HERE.) I've used her a couple of times before, but I absolutely adore her so I was excited to ink her up again. :) Ophelia is actually perched on a rock, but I chose to not ink that portion of the stamp so that I could have her sitting on the edge of my main image panel with her legs extending past the border. I could have used that "out-of-the-box" Spellbinders technique that so many talented bloggers use...but I was too lazy! lol So I just placed the die on the paper, traced around it with a pencil and hand cut it...definitely not the perfectly clean and crisp edge you get when using your Spellbinders properly, but it will do. :) I've been hoarding that sunflower paper from Fancy Pants (Rusted Sun) for ages and finally decided it was time to use it, especially since the sunflowers seemed to be perfect for this challenge. I had this gorgeous deep red satin ribbon that I thought would be a perfect colour match for the red in the paper...nope. My ribbon supply is actually quite limited, and I felt the card needed another horizontal element behind the image. I had recently picked up a roll of organza ribbon at the dollar store, so I covered my ribbon with a layer of that to tone down the intensity of the red...and I was hoping it would echo the shimmer I planned to put on Ophelia's wings. The little white pearls were created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White.

Ophelia was stamped on Neenah paper with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers. The sky was sponged in with Stormy Sky Distress Ink and a hand-cut cloud template. In keeping with the Here Comes The Sun challenge, I wanted to use sunny colours for Ophelia. I also wanted to experiment with some feather blending on her wings...fairy wings are so much fun to colour! It took me a few tries on a scrap piece of paper to come up with the right combination of yellows, oranges and reds to achieve the effect I wanted...she actually ended up looking a bit more like a fire fairy than a sun fairy though! lol I added some subtle shimmer to her wings with Smooch Illuminate.

    Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Hair: E50, Y21, Y26, E31, E33, E37, E59 Dress: R22, R27, R29, R46, R59, C5, C7, YR16, Y17, R27, E08, E99 Wings: E50, YR20, YR16, Y17, Y23, R17, R27, R59

Why don't you get creating and show us your Sun/Summer themed cards!! There will be five free digi's given to one lucky challenge participant who will be chosen by Random.org at the end of the month! You may now use images from any company and still be included in the draw for the blog candy prize! Those who use one of Crissy's images, either from her rubber or digital collections will be entered twice in the draw. But please respect the rule of no more than three entries per month. Otherwise your entries could be deleted the first post is "HERE"

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

    Blessings,

    Melanie

    Femme Fatale

It's almost time for a new release at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!!! Susana will be releasing the "Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2" by SCACD artist Victoria Case. This release of stamps actually includes two sets..."The Retro Crew Collection" and "Hearts & Hugs-The Fun Collection". The sneak peeks start today and will continue right up to our release day blog hop this Friday! Each day, two of the SCACD design team members will have sneak peeks to share with you...up today are Carolyn and your's truly. :) You can visit the store blog, Follow Your Heart, each day for links to the talented ladies who have previews to share with you.

Today, Carolyn and I have the privilege of introducing the very sassy "Femme Fatale" who is part of the "Retro Crew Collection #2". How much fun is she??!! Oh, to be so glamorous! As soon as I saw this vixen, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with her. :) While she is quite reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, that dress immediately made me think of Jessica Rabbit..do you remember the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit??!! lol That settled it for me...she was definitely going to be wearing a red sequined number just like Jessica. I went with a smaller card base than I usually do...it's 4x5. The rhinestone swirls are from my local dollar store. The "Glamor Girl" sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. It was cut out with some circle Spellbinders and matted on Spellbinders Lacey Circles. I jazzed up the red and silver cardstock with some Smooch Illuminate and Stardust Stickles. There certainly is no shortage of bling on this card! The white organza ribbon is from Walmart, and that gorgeous black flower is from Prima (Delightful Day).

"Femme Fatale" was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Neenah cardstock and coloured with Copic markers. To create her "Jessica Rabbit" gown, I coated her dress with Stardust Stickles. I used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Ice White on her pearl necklace, bracelet and earings. Her diamond ring was given a bit of dimension with the Viva Decor Hologram Glitter Liner.

    Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Hair: Y21, Y26, E31, E33, E37, E50, E59 Dress: R22, R27, R46, R59, C5, C7 Gloves: E50, E53, E57, blender

Have you visited with Carolyn Bounds yet?? She has a stunning project to share with you that also features the gorgeous Femme Fatale. :)

***BLOG CANDY!!!*** Please make sure to leave comments for both Carolyn and I on our "Femme Fatale" posts to be eligible to win this gorgeous stamp!! The blog candy will be open until June 23, 2011 at 10:00 pm EST. Random.org will be used to draw a winner who will be announced on the store blog Follow Your Heart by 11:00 EST the same night. :)

The new exclusive "Sweet Meets Sassy Collection #2" by artist Victoria Case will be available for purchase this Friday at SCACD...and at Quixotic Paperie for our crafty friends in the UK. Time for another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! This time, our hostess is the very lovely and very sweet Diana Pickering. She has a fun challenge this week...she wants us to make Cards for Kids!

This is Sunny the Turtle, one of the adorable recently released June stamps from our newest Krafty artist Emilie Goulet. I love him to bits!! Emilie has such a gift for giving her animals huge personality...just look at that grin, and I think the addition of a rubber ducky is the perfect finishing touch to this image! I used some paper that I've been hoarding from October Afternoon...I love plaid paper! The sentiment is from Kimmie's "Mermaid Sentiments".

Sunny was stamped on Neenah cardstock and coloured with Copic markers. I added some Glossy Accents to the water and sponged in a sky with Memento Summer Sky Ink and a hand-cut cloud template.

    Copics: Turtle: YG00, YG03, YG63, YG67, G99, E11, E13, E17, E18, E59 Water: BG0000, BG000, B000, B00, B02, B05, B12, C00...and some of the above colours for the reflections Duck: Y00, Y11, Y17, E08 Bottle: Yoo, Y17, YR02, YR04, YR07, E08, E18

Make It Crafty has arrived at SCACD!!!

Good morning to you...and Happy Friday!! Have you heard the news?? Susana's Custom Art and Card Design is now carrying stamps and chipboard embellishments from Make It Crafty!!! Susana thought it would be fun to have a special day to showcase these incredible new products. Just wait until you see what my fellow design team members have been busy creating...you'll find links to their blogs at the SCACD blog, Follow Your Heart. :)

I must confess that I have been itching to get my inky paws on some of the Make It Crafty stamps. Zoe, the owner of Make It Crafty (who I've also had the immense pleasure of being on a couple of design teams with), has so many incredible images. I was absolutely thrilled when Susana announced that she was going to be carrying them. I've also had the opportunity to play with some of the Make It Crafty chipboard embellishments, and they are amazing! They are intricately detailed and so versatile.

I kind of have a "thing" for stamps with incredible hair or intricate clothing...it's sort of like colouring bliss for me, lol. Well, when I saw "Siren Lorelei", I knew that she was going to be a dream to colour...look at that glorious cascading mass of hair!! Oh yeah, and she's a mermaid to boot!!! I adore mermaids..."The Little Mermaid" is still one of my favourite Disney movies. It's probably better that I watch it alone though, as I always feel the need to sing along to every song...and sadly I am not exactly gifted in the musical department, lol. Seriously though, that movie cracks me up..."dinglehopper", "snarflap", Scuttle's attempt to create mood music for Ariel and Eric, chef Louis singing "Les Poison"...love it!! Anyways...back to the card!! lol The papers are all from Basic Grey Kioshi. The oval layer was cut with Spellbinders and I created a frame with a Martha Stewart border punch. (After punching a strip of cardstock, just cut notches along the length to allow you to conform the cardstock to your image layer.) I applied some Glossy Accents to the bottom portion of the oval layer and sprinkled some dollar store beads to create the ocean floor for Lorelei to lounge on. The corner embellishments are Make It Crafty Lasercut Chipboard...I'm not sure if Susana has this exact pattern, but she does have several fantastic sets in stock. The chipboard was painted with white acrylic craft paint, brushed with Smooch Illuminate, a bit of Stardust Stickles and finally sponged with Bundled Sage Distress Ink. I finished them off with a couple of Dew Drops I found floating around in my embellishment bin.

Lorelei was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic Markers. Oh that hair!! Don't let her mass of curls intimidate you...Lorelei's hair is actually not too difficult to tackle if you work on it one section at a time. Your first step should be to identify your light source...I had mine coming from the upper left hand corner. I started by blocking in the shadows with E31 in light handed feather strokes that followed the natural curve of her curls, leaving the area closest to the light source white...for now. I gradually built up the colour and texture of her hair with layers of these feather strokes...use a "flicking" motion of your hand so that your marker stroke tapers to a fine line as you lift your marker off the surface of the paper. Your darkest markers will be used only in the deepest shadows, or the areas furthest away from your light source...apply these deep stokes sparingly as it is always easy to add more. It is important not to overblend if you wish to maintain the appearance of "strands" of hair...the flicking motion, or feather strokes is what helps to create the texture. On a softer paper like Neenah, you may have to allow some layers of colour to dry for a short time before applying more ink, or you run the risk of loosing your crips strokes. I used my lightest marker (E50) to blend the "highlighted" areas of the curls into the layers of brown...after which I pulled some more feather strokes in E31 and E33 through the E50, so that even these highlights would still have some texture. Her tail was given some shimmer with Smooch Illuminate and Stardust Stickles.

    Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20, RV95 Hair: E30, E31, E33, E37, E50, E59 Tail: YG00, Y00, YG03, YG11, G20, G82, G85, G99, C9, BG000

Whew!! Ok, that turned into a very long post!! lol It's not always easy to translate your colouring process into words, lol. My apologies of I ended up putting a few of you to sleep. :) I've had some questions about how I colour hair, as well as some requests for a video tutorial...I do hope to get one done at some point soon. It's just a matter of trying to find a pocket of free time...perhaps this summer.

So, what do you think of Lorelei??!! Are you loving her as much as I do?? She is just one of many fabulous Make It Crafty stamps that Susana now has in stock. Oh, and don't forget about the Make It Crafty chipboard...such a great finishing touch to any paper crafting project...make sure to get your orders in promptly, as I'm sure these are going to be HOT must-have items!!

My fellow design team members have created some stunning projects with the Make It Crafty stamps. Please hop on over to the store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see their gorgeous handiwork.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I truly appreciate your visit. :)

    Happy Birthday to Quixotic Paperie!!

(This is my second post for today...please feel free to scroll down to see a new card for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!!)

Just a quick little shout-out to my friend Elaine Hughes who is having a month long birthday celebration for her online store, Quixotic Paperie!! I have had the privilege of serving on a few design teams with Elaine, and she continuously leaves me in awe of her jaw-dropping creative talent. :)

Elaine is having some Company Spotlight Days over on the Quixotic Paperie Store Blog for stamp companies she carries. Last week, some of my fellow SCACD design team sisters shared some fabulous projects on the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design Spotlight Day!

Today's Quixotic Paperie Company Spotlight features Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and some of my fellow Krafty Girls have shared some beautiful cards in honour of the birthday festivities!

Sadly, I was unable to play along with either of these two Quixotic Paperie spotlight days due to a busy schedule...but I wanted to encourage all my readers to hop on over and join in the fun at Quixotic Paperie!

Congrats to Elaine on the success of Quixotic Paperie...and wishing you continued success in the years to come!

    Blessings,

    Melanie

    Naturally Styled

Good morning to all my crafty friends out there!! Hope you're all having a fabulous week so far. :)

I've got a card to share with you today featuring one of the exclusive SCACD stamps from the Natural Beauty collection...this is "Naturally Styled". How gorgeous is this dressform?? I think it's such an elegant image, and I love the pretty vines entwined around the image. The papers are from an MME Stella and Rose pad (Hazel). Susana has an incredible selection of 6x6 paper pads, and her prices are amazing...you can check them out HERE.

"Naturally Styled" was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic makers. The image was cut out with my oval Spellbinders. I sponged around the image with a combination of Antique Linen, Bundled Sage, Victorian Velvet and Walnut Stain Distress Inks while it was still in the die. I wasn't quite happy with the depth of shading on the dress, so I pulled out my Conte crayons and paper blending stump to add some more dimension. The pearls were created with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in "Cream". The decorative "frame" around the image was created with a Martha Steward border punch. This is by no means my own idea. I've seen this technique used by many very talented papercrafters on my travels around blogland, and think it's a wonderful way to stretch the possibilities of your punches. After punching a strip of cardstock, you simply cut some "V" shaped notches in your carstock so that you can curve the cardstock to the shape of your image panel. In the close up below, you can see the small "gathers" or folds in the punched cardstock ...I used Scor Tape to attach the "frame" to the image.

    Copics: Dress: BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG72, BG75, C5, C7, RV000, R81, R83, R85, R89, E40, E41, E43, E49, E50, E59 Vines: YG00, YG03, G28, G99, B31, B34, B37, C5, C7 Mannequin: E50, E31, E25, E29, E59 Bird: B000, B60, C00, C3, C5 Additional shading added with black and brown Conte crayons

The "Natural Beauty" collection of stamps is available exclusively at SCACD. (For our UK friends, you can purchase exclusive SCACD stamps at Quixotic Paperie.)

Make sure to take a bit of time to browse around SCACD, as Susuna is always adding fabulous new products. Take a look at some of the new arrivals at the store:

  • New Stamps from: Kraftin' Kimmie and Emerald Faerie Garden

  • ***CANADIAN POSTAL STRIKE*** Ok, so the latest news update this morning is that the strike has escalated to a full shut down of postal services. I encourage my fellow Canadians to check with the businesses they are ordering from for shipping options before placing your orders. Hopefully, this strike will be resolved quickly, but in the meantime we do appreciate your patience and understanding as all businesses are dealing with the complications of this postal strike. Most importantly, I want to encourage you to continue to look to SCACD for all your crafty needs! :)

I hope you all have a fantastic week. I'll be back on Friday with a another fun post for SCACD...just wait until you see what the design team has been up to!! ;)

June Release Blog Hop for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Good morning and welcome to the Release Day Blog Hop for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! This month's release brings us a set of fun summer-loving animals from our newest Krafty Artist Emilie Goulet, some adorable new spring girls from Cheryl Alger and the gorgeous Asian themed girls from Annie Rodrigue. Kimmie has assembled an amazing blog hop for your viewing pleasure today...and she may just have some CANDY up for grabs too! Kimmie is asking you to leave comments at each blog on the hop to be eligible for the candy. Two lucky stampers will win packages of some of the new release stamps!

If you have been tracking along the hop, you should have arrived here after visiting with our lovely and very talented new Krafty Artist Emilie Goulet. If not, just pop on over to the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog where the hop begins...you will also find a complete list of the hop participants there. :)

My card today features one of Annie's gorgeous new stamps, "Mizuki"...which means "Beautiful Moon". She comes with a sentiment that reads "Everything has it's beauty but not everyone sees it." Once again, I've used a dollar store treasure...the black background panel with the red embroidered flowers began it's life as a fabric wall hanging. I dismantled it and set aside the wooden frame for a future purpose. :) I used black and red cardstock to create a frame for the fabric panel and embellished it with some flourishes cut with Spellbinders Doodle Parts. The oval frame was cut with Spellbinders Labels 10 from silver cardstock. The red cardstock insert for the silver frame was embossed with a fantastic Couture Creations embossing folder from SCACD...this one is called "Drifting Endless". They measure 5x7 and the patterns are so pretty. I sponged some Black Soot distress Ink over the embossed surface...I also sponged some on the silver frame and the red flourishes.

Mizuki was stamped on Neenah carstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers. I love the bottom of Mizuki's kimono, and wanted those tendrils of fabric to really "pop". I used a combination of yellows, oranges and reds to create a flame effect, and then coloured the rest of her kimono black.

    Copics: Hair: 100, C9, C7, C5, C3, B60 Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Kimono: R59, R46, R27, R17, YR31, YRo4, Y21, Y17, Y15, Y11, Y00, 100, C7, C5, C3 Skulls: B60, BV23, C7, colourless blender

All the stamps you will see on today's hop are now available for purchase at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. "24 Krafty Karats!"

Good morning to all my crafty friends!! It's time for another challenge at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog. To add to the fun, the Krafty Girls' projects all feature brand new stamps by Krafty Artist Annie Rodrigue...and they will be available for purchase tomorrow! Annie has created an amazing Asian themed release this month...the images are gorgeous!

Our hostess for this week's 24 Krafty Karats challenge is the lovely Angie Baker, and she wants to see gold on your projects!

My card today features the beautiful "Takara"...her name means "Treasure". I'm totally loving the dragon in this image!! I was at the dollar store recently and found some gorgeous fabric drawstring gift bags with patterns that I thought would work beautifully with this release. I carefully dismantled the bag and adhered some of the fabric to a panel of cardstock. I matted it on gold cardstock and created a black cardstock frame. The gold and black cardstock flourishes were created with Spellbinders Doodle parts and adorned with some Viva Decor Pearls (Pearl Pen in "Cream"). What do you think of the organza ribbon flower?? The organza was actually the lining of the fabric bag, so it is a perfect colour match. To create the flower I cut a portion of the organza, gathered it with a basting stitch, twisted and adjusted it until it resembled a rough flower shape and then hand stitched the centre to hold it in place. I adhered it to the card base with Scor-Tape and finished the flower off with a Prima Say It in Studs flower centre...LOVE these. :) You'll get an assortment of intricate, beautiful flower centres in these packs...all you need to do is peel the entire centre off in one piece and stick in place. To create the paper fan behind my image, I cut two 3x6 strips of this beautiful patterned paper from an SEI paper pad ("Moonrise"...this is a gorgeous collection with some sheets having beautiful metallic accents), punched along one edge with a Martha Stewart punch, scored every 1/4", folded it accordion style and adhered it along a cardstock base. Unfortunately, the "seam" where I joined the two pieces is not quite as invisible as I had hoped, but it adds some fun texture and dimension.

"Takara" was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers. Her dragon friend was given a coat of Stardust Stickles...I usually apply just a bit of the product and use my finger or a small brush to spread it around. Although I did not use it on the exterior of my card, "Takara" comes with a co-ordinating sentiment that says "Missing You, My Friend!".

Friends are For Hugging...Day Two of the June Sneak Peeks for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

(This is my second post for the day...please scroll back to check out a little teaser about a fantastic new product at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!!)

Good morning folks!! Welcome to another round of sneak peeks for the June Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Release this Sunday. Today the Krafty Girls are sharing projects featuring the newest stamps by Krafty Artist Cheryl Alger.

This is "Friends are For Hugging"...what a sweet image! It comes with the co-ordinating sentiment seen on my card, which was stamped in Versafine Ink. How many of you had that special stuffed animal friend who went with you everywhere when you were a kid? I did...her name was Cuddles. :) Unfortunately, I think she accidentally made her way into a goodwill donation bag when I was a teenager...I'm still a little bitter over that, lol. She was well-worn and well-loved...a treasured childhood "friend". :) This adorable image reminds me of her...I always smile when I see children clutching their special "stuffy". The papers are all from MME Stella and Rose(Hattie). The bow was tied with the aide of my handy-dandy Bow Easy. All papers and the ribbon were sponged with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

"Friends are for Hugging" was stamped on Neenah cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured with Copic markers. The sky was created with Memento Summer Sky, a makeup sponge and a hand-cut cloud template.

    Copics: Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20 Hair: E31, E33, E37, E59, Y21, Y26, E50 Dress: B91, B93, B96, B97, B99, C5, C7, Y26 Shoes: E50, E25 Bear: E30, E31, E33, E37, E50, E59, C7 Grass: YG00, YG03, YG11, YG63, YG67, G99, C9

The June Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peeks Start Today...introducing "Stanley the Snail"!!

This Sunday will be another release day at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! The fun starts today with the first round of sneak peeks from the fun and fabulous Krafty Girls. You can visit the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Blog each day leading up to the release to see who has previews to share.

We have some very exciting news to share today...Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is introducing another fabulous Krafty Artist!!! The Krafty Girls are all showcasing stamps by the very talented Emilie Goulet!!! I am already in love with Emilie's sweet style...you are going to adore her images!

This is "Stanley the Snail"...how cute is this??!! Quite the life our Stanley leads...look at him just chillin' on the beach! This image is so much fun to colour up. The patterned paper was in my scrap bin, but I'm pretty sure it's from Fancy Pants. The "Fun in the Sun" sentiment is part of Kimmie's "Mermaid Sentiments Set", and was stamped in Versafine Ink. The orange ribbon wasn't quite the right shade, so I went over it with my YG04 marker to create a better match.

I started by stamping Stanley on Neenah paper in Memento Ink. I coloured Stanley and his chair with Copic markers, but then had a bit of colouring mishap when I was working on the umbrella. I had used some very juicy BG's which ended up bleeding something terrible. Ugh. I decided to stamp the image again on some X-Press It Blending Card and had another go with different colours. I have tried this paper before, and haven't been overly fond of it. However, I'm thinking that I perhaps need to experiment a bit more with it as I was much happier with the result this time. Rather than re-colouring Stanley, I cut my "Neenah" Stanley out and and then paper-pieced him onto the image stamped on X-Press It with a Quickie Glue Pen.

    Colours: Stanley: E31, E31, E25, E29, E59, E50 Shell: Chair: R22, R27, R46, R59, C5, C7 Umbrella: YG04, YG07, YR31, E08, B02, B12, B14, B23, B24, B99, C3, C5, C7 Stereo: C1, C3, C5, C7 Sand: E30, E31, E33, E37, E40, E41, E50, E59 Table: E18, E13, E50
