Our challenge this week over at the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps blog is "Fussy Cutting", brought to us by our lovely and talented hostess Amanda. I love this challenge as I fussy cut almost every image I colour, lol.
I used my favourite stamp from the newly released Lovely Literature collection by Krafty Artist Annie Rodrigue, the ever so dashing Sherlock Holmes. I absolutely LOVE the frame Annie created for him, and how the tendrils of smoke extend outside the frame. Sherlock comes with two sentiments, one of which is "Elementary" as seen on my card. Incidentally, has anybody been watching the new series Elementary this year?? I love it! I paired Sherlock up with some great papers from Bo Bunny Timepiece. Everything was distressed for a masculine feel. After fussing cutting the image, I mounted it on a layer cut with Spellbinders. The two corner embellishments were cut with Dies by SCACD, the upper is Classic Corner Dies and the lower is Alice's Clock Statement Corner.
Sherlock was stamped in Memento Ink and coloured with Copics.
