Here's my card featuring one of the cute birds from the You're So Tweet Set. I pulled out Bo Bunny paper from last year...love vintage feel of the blues and browns. The layers were cut and matted with Spellbinders (Lacey Circles, Lacey Squares and Circles). All paper edges were inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I added some machine stitching and a few rhinestones to finish it off. Oh, and I used some dimensional "snow" paint on the branch and leaf.
Make sure to check out the KKS Blog tomorrow for more sneak peeks and our weekly challenge. And ALL the new stamps will be available on Saturday night at the KKStamps Shop!!

And this fantastic kit will be released on Saturday night at our LIVE online release party starting at 6:30pm EST on our facebook page, along with all of our new stamps being previewed this week!! We hope you'll join us for all the fun!
As mentioned earlier, six of us Krafty Girls split up ONE of the October Kardmaking Kits to show you what can be made with the supplies. I made a card featuring Penelope. Isn't she sweet?? Remember, you get to choose an $8.00 stamp with your kit, so you could pick her if she isn't already part of your stamp collection! Aren't these papers gorgeous?? I love the colour scheme. Oh, and the brown corner embellishments and snowflakes were cut from the adhesive cork sheets! This was a fabulous product to work with. I used both punches and dies with it and it cut beautifully...just be careful with delicate cuts so you don't tear the material. The flourishes were cut with a Memory Box Die as was the large teal snowflake. The smaller snowflakes were cut with a Martha Stewart Punch and a portion of a Memory Box border die (more on that in a moment). Upper corner embellishments were cut with Classic Corners from Dies by SCACD. The little white glitter snowflakes are buttons that are included in the kit. I just snipped off the loop from the back to adhere them flat on the card. All papers and the glitter snowflakes were inked with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
Skin: E000, E00, E11, RV95 Hair: E50, E31, E33, E37, E59, BV29 Dress: G20, G82, G85, G99, YG00, YG25, W5, W7, BV29, B21, B32, B45, B97 Jar: BG11, BG15, B99, V91, V93, V95, V99
I also decorated the inside of my card. Remember, with some frugal cutting, you can stretch the cardstock included in the kit. I trimmed the green cardstock from the front of the card for this interior matting layer. The cut out area on the front is hidden by the pattern paper...no need to let that cardstock go to waste!! The sentiment comes with the new Christmas Cheer set. I used more of the cork included in the kit to cut out this border with the Frostyville Memory Box die. I also used it to cut just one of the snowflakes for the front of the card.
Here's a picture of the contents of the kit:
And check out this sheet that has a bunch of fantastic tags...I used the blue one second from the top right corner for matting Penelope! There are also some that are perfect for journalling or sentiments.
Make sure to check out what five of my fellow Krafty Girls created for today's previews...remember, we all shared ONE October Kardmaking Kit!
Thanks for stopping by!

Back in Black!
It's time for another great challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps...and it's our 200th challenge!!! To celebrate, the winner of this week's challenge will receive one of our fabulous paper packages AND a stamp! Worth playing for??? ;) We love seeing your KKS creations, so I hope you all plan to play along! This week our hostess is SHARON and her challenge is Back in BLACK!! So create a card, scrapbook page or altered item with a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp that features anything BLACK on it.
Don't forget that you have until Sunday night to submit your creations to our World Kardmaking Day Challenges!!! There are six fabulous challenges to choose from and one of them you can even WIN a spot on the KRAFTY GIRLS Design Team!!!! Who's playin'?? (you can scroll through the challenges over at the KKS Blog or check out the FB page)
ALSO, don't forget that our BIRTHDAY BASH SALE ends on Sunday night!! There are over 140 of our fave stamps and stamp sets on SPECIAL 20-60% OFF !! And remember there's a present for YOU too! Every order over $30 will receive a special goodie in their package!! Could be a stamp, could be some twine, some adhesive pearls or rhinestones, could be a magnet or keychain....it will be a fun surprise!!! But only while supplies last!!
PLUS we've got lots of brand NEW 6x6 PAPER PADS in stock!! Lots of holiday pads by Carta Bella, Echo Park, Lawn Fawn, Bo Bunny and more!! Scoop some up along with your new stamps!!! OH and a few of them are on SALE too!
I pulled out one of my favourite Halloween KKS stamps, Batty Princess! The papers are Echo Park Chillingsworth. I used a background stamp to create the flourish design on the green paper and also to create a bit of a border around the stamped image. The die cut flourish is an MFT Die. The sentiment comes with one of our Halloween Fall sets released this year, Happy Haunting. Can I be honest? I'm not thrilled with the way the dress turned out. I was experimenting with a different orange combo, and had a couple of my markers go bit tacky. As a result, I had a really hard time getting a smooth blend. :( I would have started over, but I was a bit tight on time. I really should have pulled out some pencils to fix those pleats. Added to that, I've got a lousy sinus cold that has my head throbbing whenever I lean over to colour...not fun. Ok, now I'm whining, lol. I need to get some replacement nibs and refills. I'm bummed, because I was really happy with how her eyes turned out. Sigh.
Need a little more inspiration? Make sure to check out the wonderful creations by our Krafty Girls and Guests featuring this week's challenge over at the KKS Blog. Remember that the winner this week will be receiving that special 200th challenge bonus prize!!
Thanks for stopping by!
