SCACD Digital!

Today SCACD is formally premiering the SCACD Digital site by adding over 35 images designed by Carmen Medlin!!! Carmen's range is fun, fresh as well as elegant and will have something for everyone. Susana has added quite a few never before seen Fab images as well as taken some classic past rubber stamps and turned them into digi for this release.

Reminder to Our International Friend: As you know, SCACD has stopped the sale of physical items. However, International customers can now purchase SCACD Digital images only!

Joining us today to celebrate this release with the SCACD DT as well as bunch of amazing Guests. If you loose your way check out the Store Blog for the entire list. So if you've been following along, you should have arrived here after visiting with the lovely Crystal.

I've created two cards for today's hop. First up is one of my favourites, Baby Unicorn. I used to collect unicorns when I was younger. For every birthday and Christmas, my mom would always get me a new figurine or some other type of art piece. So I was really excited to have a chance to colour this image!! Digital stamps are super easy to work with. I often just use a word processing program to print them off, but thought I'd try my hand at using photoshop this time. Still pretty easy! Digital images are fantastic because you can resize and/or flip them according to your specific project needs. After printing the image out, it was coloured with my Copics and gave the wings a bit of shimmer with Stardust Stickles.. I used some older paper for this card, but you can check out the selection of paper pads at SCACD HERE. For the upper right corner embellishment, I used the Contempo Compass Statement Corner from Dies by SCACD. I cut it out of kraft cardstock, coloured it with Copics and then added a bit of Stardust Stickles to the star.

For my next card, I used Starry Eyed Owl...owls sure are popular right now! This little guy is super cute. :)  Again, the image was printed out and coloured with Copics. I pulled two more Dies by SCACD for this card, Classic Corners and Uncaged Bird. (I did snip the bird off)

You can find the entire selection of SCACD Digital stamps HERE...and remember, the digital stamps are available for purchase for international customers!! (it's just the physical items which cannot be shipped outside the USA)

Ok, it's now my pleasure to send you off to visit with Susan Dube...I know she will have some fantastic work to share with you. :)

Thanks for joining us!

Blessings,

Melanie

OMG, both are just stunning! The unicorn is jaw dropping beautiful and I love the papers and dies. Just gorgeous! And that owl looks like it could fly and sit in my tree at night! So lifelike and sweet!

Hugs,

Susan

You never disappoint Melanie! Your knack for choosing the most beautiful colour palettes, and your colouring alone bring everything to life. I am sure there isn't many little girls that didn't love unicorns when growing up, there is something forever mystical about them. Gorgeous work, I never tire of what you create :)S

Both cards are wonderful! Your coloring and design are outstanding. I especially love the beautiful background surrounding the owl.

When I was a young'un, I also loved unicorns. In fact, my first rubber stamp was purchased at a store called the Last Unicorn in Greenwich Village. It's long gone, but I still have my stamp!
