Mid month inspiration post for the October Monthly Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

This month our challenge themes for you are:

Fall Activities and/or Halloween

You can choose one theme or combine them!
Enter as many times as you like all month long!

I made some fun Halloween tags featuring images from the Little Monsters set.  The background was created with Distress inks and our Woodgrain stencil.  As the tags are tiny,  I just stamped the head of the vampire, coloured him in copics and popped him up on foam dots. The spider and web are from the same set.  The sentiment is from a set that is currently out of stock...sorry! But you can add your name to the list on the website to be notified if it is restocked in the future. 

Every month we post a brand new challenge with a choice of themes to choose from, and a mid month inspiration post with even more creative ideas! You are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

*Our Challenges are now combined with the 

Skrappy Challenge (first Tuesday of the Month)

and the Christmas Challenge In the Krafty Friends FB group! Be sure to enter your creations there in the designated album! So feel free to enter any or all of these - the monthly prize is a $20 voucher to the Krafty shop!!! Woohoo!

June 2024 Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Release Peeks- Day 2

 Welcome back!

Did you enjoy yesterday's Peeks?
Well, we are back with MORE fun stuff!

Today we are spotlighting a new stamp set from artist Sabrina van Vloten called I BEE-lieve in YOU!

Look at those adorable fluffy bee bums!!

As you head out on today's Krafty Hop you'll get to enjoy lots of gorgeous creations from our Krafty Team featuring I BEE-lieve in YOU! and our incredibly adorable new BUMBLEBEE set of layering stencils in combination with some of our other incredible products such as our Krafty Kolours Hybrid Inks!

I coloured the little bee with a combination of markers and pencils and popped him up on a wobble. His wings were coated in Stickles.  I also used the new Bumblebee stencil to create the background panel Luscious Lemon and Granite Grey Inks.

Inspirational Wednesday at KKS- Awesome Possums

                        Hello Krafty Friends!

It's INSPIRATIONAL WEDNESDAY,

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and it's my turn to share a project! 

This week we are featuring the adorable Awesome Possums, which you'll find on sale at 40% off all week!

I started by inking up a very simple background using two of our stencils, Breezy Backgrounds and Leaves & Vines, and two Krafty Inks, Original Olive and Fresh Fields. The possum and sentiment were stamped in Wicked Black Ink and I coloured the image in Prismacolor pencils.

Kraftin' Kimmie January 2023 Release Peeks: Day 3, So Punny

Honestly, how fun is this set??!! I repeatedly stamped the taco image on kraft paper in Sandy Shores ink to create a simple background. I then stamped the taco twice, added the faces, coloured them in coloured pencils and popped them up on foam dots. I also added some Krafty Dots and our Lots of Love chipboard hearts.

The background was created with our awesome new layered stencil, KRAFTY TOOLS. I used a combination of several of our Krafty Inks.

Here's my watercoloured card featuring Autumn Pumpkins. The images were stamped in our Totally Taupe ink. I paired the images with some pretty fall papers from Carta Bella (purchased from one of Kimmie's Shop the Box parties). I also added a few Krafty Dots to finish it off.

May 2022 KKS Peeks Day 3

     Today is our third day of Krafty Peeks for the May Release

 at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we are 'peeking' a super sweet set

These adorably cute barnyard friends coordinate with yesterday's awesome Our Farm set for a whole stable-full of cuteness!!

I coloured three of the animals in copic markers and paired them with one of the chipboard barns (painted in acrylics) Kim recently had. The sky was sponged in with our new Blue Bay ink.

Oh So Punny...A Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge

Use a Pun on your project!

I used one of our adorable animal sets, YOU'RE GNAWSOME to create a fun Valentine's Day Card. Since our sets often include punny sentiments, this is an easy challenge to play along with! I stamped the beaver in Totally Taupe ink on Arches cold pressed paper and watercoloured the scene. I added the sentiment from the set "Wood you be mine?" stamped in Wicked Black ink. 

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

Spoil Yourself!

Hey krafty friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful week. Our kids were home on "March Break"...a whole week of no school. Sadly, us grown-ups still had to work...no pajama days for mom and dad. boo. However, Dean and I kind of lucked out one evening when both Ainsleigh and Nathan were at friends' houses for the night. We took advantage and went out to dinner with friends, followed by some bowling. I'll let you know a little something about me...I am a TERRIBLE bowler! lol (and I am perfectly OK with that, hehe) We had a lot of fun, but were still back home and ready to turn in by 11:00. Yeah, I know...total party animals, huh? lol

So...are you all geared up for another Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge?? Your hostess this week is my very good friend and amazingly talented stamper Krista VanTol!! Her challenge is "Big Buttons!"...so go pull out those hoards of buttons I know you all have and play along with us this week. :)

Funny story...I giggled when I read the title of Krista's challenge. You see, when I first became interested in stamping a couple of years ago, I created a profile on Splitcoast Stampers. Until recently, I could not figure out how to resize my photos to upload them there, so my profile/gallery was completely inactive. I recently played around with a few programs on my computer, and I am happy to say that my gallery FINALLY has some cards in it! Well, when I was creating my profile so long ago, I thought I should come up with a "clever" name. Are you ready for it...my name over on Splitcoast is "StickAButtonOnIt!". Um, yeah. Really clever Melanie. lol This was before I had even started stamping...all I had done up until that point was blog surf. As I finally started stamping, I realized that I rarely "stick a button" on things...kind of ironic considering my SCS profile name. :)

Anyways, back to the challenge! I used "Brigitte" for my card this week...if only bath time were always that relaxing!! What a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day...bubble bath, cup of tea and a good book....that is until the knocking on the door starts. UGH. Never fails...somebody always "needs" something when I shut the door for my "retreat time". I'm sure you all can relate?? ;) The design paper is from Basic Grey. All paper edges were sponged with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. The sentiment (that comes with Brigitte) was stamped with the Story Sky ink and matted on Spellbinders Fancy Tags. The button-centred bow was tied with the aide of my Bow-Easy.

Brigitte was stamped on Neenah with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. After cutting my image out with my circle Nesties, The bubbles were coloured to appear iridescent and then highlighted with Smooch Illuminate...although, I think I got a little heavy-handed with my application of the Smooch as they don't appear quite as translucent as I had intended. I cut Brigitte out with my circles Nesties, cut a tight mat by tracing around the circumference of the same sized die (which was then cut out by hand), placed that on top of a paper doily and backed it all with a Spellbinders Lacey Circle.

Brigitte is perfect for those "pamper" gifts that are so fun to give...and fun to receive as well! This image would be fantastic on a card with an enclosed gift card to a spa or to a bath and body type store...or you could even use her for invitations to a spa-themed party! How about a pamper-yourself gift package for a new mom? Or for a bride-to-be? So many possibilities!!
