Inspirational Wednesday at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

My Inspirational Wednesday project actually features two stamp sets: Krafty Elves and Holiday Wishes.

                                

              I absolutely love shaker elements on projects, but have never got around to making one myself. Thought I'd finally take a crack at one with this Christmas tag! The sentiment from Holiday Wishes was stamped in our Wicked Black ink. I also stamped the image from Krafty Elves in Wicked Black ink on Neenah paper and coloured her with Copics. To finish off the tag, I added some of our Rainy Day Dots and Dazzling Dots. The shaker elements are a mix of dollar store glitters, sequins and beads.

No Lines Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Good Morning and welcome to another 

fabulous and fun Saturday Challenge

at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

This week is my turn to play hostess and my challenge is...

NO LINES TECHNIQUE!

I made a little tag featuring one of the elephants from our Up, Up and Away stamp set. I stamped the elephant in Totally Taupe ink (my favourite ink for the no-lines technique!) on Neenah cardstock and coloured him in Copics. The sentiment from the set was stamped in Wicked Black ink. I added a bit of sparkle with some rhinestones and Stardust Stickles.

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations 
and you are welcome to use any stamp however using Kraftin' Kimmie stamp and products will earn you double entries to the monthly prize of a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!!!

Jolly Happy Snowmen...a Krafitn' Kimmie Sneak Peek

It's our FINAL day of peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

Everything you've seen us share this week 

will be in the online shop tomorrow afternoon.

We are closing things out with a brand new adorable stamp set from our newest artist Sabrina van Vloten called....

JOLLY HAPPY SNOWMEN! 

Check out these chubby little snowpeeps!! So many ways to mix and match them or use them on their own.  There is a fabulous background and igloo to help you create winter scenes scenes plus several sweet sentiments!

Here's my tag featuring the set. I stamped a small portion of the background, one of the little snowmen and a sentiment in Wicked Black ink. The snowman was coloured with Copics. The snowy mountain backdrop was done in gouache on top of an inked background. I splattered gouache for the falling snow topped it off with a wooden snowflake and stardust stickles.

Of course, today is also Challenge Day and as always, during release week the theme is Anything Goes!  So create a card, scrapbook page, altered item.....with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp!  Use any sketch, design, colour scheme you want!

Solid Holiday...a Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peek

Welcome to day 2 of the

OCTOBER 2019 release for
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we have another holiday set by our fabulous

artist, Melissa Baker-Nguyen called.....
SOLID HOLIDAY!

Such a lovely assortment of solid festive images.  They can be used as accessory images on your creations, on tags, bags, stamped in coloured inks, create patterned papers...so many possibilities!

I created two small tags featuring some of the stamps from SOLID HOLIDAY. I combined our new PERFECT PLAID stencil with the deer head for a more masculine tag. Krafty inks used include Wicked Black, Granite Grey, Berry Bliss, Mossy Meadow and our brand new STORMY SKY. I also used a couple of red dots from our FESTIVE DOTS. The tree tag was created using our Krafty Scenery stencil for the hills and a variety of inks including Bubbly Blue, STORMY SKY, Charming Chartreuse, Mossy Meadow and Marvelous Mocha. Both tags were trimmed in stickles. The "ornaments" on the tress are little dollar store gems.

I created a Christmas tag with our new HOLIDAY WISHES sentiment set. I started with a kraft tag and layered several distress oxide inks. I topped those our Charming Chartreuse and Mermaid Melody inks. I used our LOTS O' DOTS with those same inks and then added another layer with gold nuvo glacier paste. I also used our HOLLY stencil with some green glacier paste. I sponged a doily with the inks and added some gold paste to the edges of the tag and doily. I also spritzed the tag with some dylusions spray and splattered some Liquitex gold acrylic ink. The sentiment was stamped in WICKED BLACK ink and finished the tag off with some red stickles.

Day Two of September Sneak Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Welcome back with more 
HOLIDAY goodness for our
SEPTEMBER 2019 release for
Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today we have TWO NEW sets by our fabulous

artist, Melissa Baker-Nguyen:

First up is....
HOLIDAY WISHES!

These gorgeous larger sized sentiments can be used as the focal point of your creation, in combination with a coloured image, on the interior of cards, on tags, on bags and lots more!

Second up is.....
CHRISTMAS SEALS!

We've updated our trinket style stamp set with a combination of circular sentiments and designs.  These new stamps are perfect to use with circle punches, round dies or on their own.  Think of all the tags you can create and so quickly using these sweet images with our coloured hybrid inks!  Plus they make fabulous additions to your coloured images on cards and scrapbook pages and all your other holiday goodies.

As you hop around the Krafty Team's blogs today you will see both stamp sets in action in combination with our awesome new September Kraftin' Kimmie products.....ink, stencils and krafty dots!

I used one of the gorgeous sentiments from HOLIDAY WISHES to make a gift tag. I created the background by first sponging the tag with a combination of our Charming Chartreuse and Mossy Meadow inks. I then used our new HOLLY stencil with some pretty green Nuvo Glacier paste and highlighted the berries with red Stickles. The edges were brushed with gold Nuvo Glacier paste and I added a little gold frantage that was melted with my heat gun. I sponged the sentiment layer with the same combos of ink, stamped the sentiment in Wicked Black and again smudged some gold paste on the edges with my finger. To finish it off, I added a bit of red stickles to the sentiment and around the edges of the tag (a trick learned from Krafty Girl Brigitte!!).

Layers...a Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge

Hello and welcome to another fun
Saturday Challenge!
Are you ready for some krafty fun?

This week's theme is....

LAYERS!

I made a tag featuring the You are Super stamp set. The image was stamped in Totally Taupe ink on Arches cold-pressed paper and done in watercolour paints. The background was sponged using Pumpkin Patch and Ruby Red inks with our Harlequin Stencil. The black border was created with a die from Stamp Anything. I added some wooden stars coloured with a copic marker and topped with stardust stickles. I also added a wooden speech bubble, topped it with design paper and stamped a sentiment from the set (the stars beside the sentiment are an accessory stamp from the set). Finally, it was finished off with a few enamel dots from our Krafty Basic Dots.

Embossing Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

Welcome to another Krafty Challenge!

This week our theme is: EMBOSSING!

Incorporate this element into any project featuring a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and enter our challenge for your chance to win! Each submission during November will enter you into the monthly prize draw for a $40 gift voucher to spend in the krafty shop.

Speaking of shopping, Kimmie has an amazing sale this weekend!!

My project this week this week features one of the adorable PERKY PENGUINS! I stamped the penguin in our Totally Taupe ink and watercoloured the scene. I also added a sentiment from HOLLY JOLLY ORNAMENTS stamped in Wicked Black ink. The background panel of my tag was also done in watercolour paints, cut out with a spellbinders die and embossed with a snowflake folder. I then rubbed a bit of white acrylic paint over the embossed snowflakes to highlight the design.

I decided to play with our newly released HOLLY JOLLY ORNAMENTS to make a Christmas tag. I watercoloured a background and then stamped one of the solid ornaments in our Purple Pansy ink using a stamp platform. I then overstamped the image with our Purple Petunia ink, and then stamped again with our Wicked Black ink, but only inked along the edge of the stamp. I then used our black ink to stamp the sentiments. To finish it off, I added a little sparkle to the image with a Wink of Stella pen, a chipboard snowflake painted white and coated with Glamour Dust, a bit of twine and some ribbon.

Anything But a Card...Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

For this Kraftin' Kimmie challenge you can create ANYthing your little heart desires as long as it's NOT a card!!! Calendars, bookmarks, pocket pages, traditional scrap pages, holiday gifts, planner pages... you get the picture! Come play along with us each month and let's get some of those photo's out of boxes and on to something creative and fun!! You will have a whole month to play along and you can play as many times as you like! Here are a few things to remember...

THIS MONTH'S THEME: ANYTHING GOES!!!

1. Create ANY scrap page, Project Life Layout or pocket page cards, altered item, etc. JUST NOT A CARD!

Last month, I attended an AMAZING retreat with Kim, Tangii and Alexis with Creative Crafting Retreats...I highly recommend their events! One challenge at the event was to make a name tag. I pulled out Angie and coloured her up with Copics...felt she represented how I looked lol. I used some fun doodle bug papers. After I finished, I realized I needed a creative way to add my name, seeing as it was a NAMETAG challenge! To keep with the coffee theme, I cut out one of the coffee cups from the design paper and wrote my name on the sleeve just like they do at Starbucks. Plus Alexis got me addicted to a Starbucks drink that weekend, lol. Kris and Tiffany from the retreat gave out generous prized to a few participants...felt very blessed to be called as the winner. There were some awesome entries! So there you have it. My anything but a card project. :)

I created a tag featuring one of the elegant CHRISTMAS BLESSINGS SENTIMENTS. These beautiful sentiments are perfect all on their own as the focal point of your project, or in combination with your favourite KKS Christmas images. They are also perfect for including on the inside of your cards! I used a variety of Spellbinders dies, Authentique patterned paper and gold Frantage to create my tag.

Harvest Blessings...A Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Krafty Scrappy Challenge!

Hey krafty friends! Welcome to the monthly Krafty Scrappy Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! For this challenge, we want to you stretch your creativity beyond the comfort zone of cards...no cards allowed!! There are so many options for your submission...create a scrapbook layout, a planner page, a tag, an altered item, gift packaging...so many options!

Here's a run down of the rules:

1. Create any project!! (remember, NO CARDS!) Theme: Anything Goes!
2. Your project must be new (created on or after this post date).
3. Your project must feature a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp.
4. You have a month to submit over at the challenge blog....and you can submit as many times as you wish! 
5. We must have at least 5 entries. One random winner will be chosen at the end of the submission period. 
6. Don't forget to pop on over the the KKS facebook page to share your creation as well! 

I pulled out one of our new August stamp sets called Harvest Blessings and created a tag.  I used all three pumpkins from the set and stamped them on various design paper (pretty sure this pad was from Simple Stories, although the lightest pumpkin was from Authentique). Shading was added with Copic markers. The pumpkins were fussy-cut and positioned in a little group on my tag. The sentiment is also from the stamp set.  The "Fall" banner at the top is actually part of the design paper...I just fussy-cut the banner segments and glued them onto the tag. All paper edges were distressed with ink and scissors.  Note: One of the pumpkins in this set has a cute little kitty peeking out from behind. Since I just wanted the pumpkins for this tag, I simply selectively inked only the pumpkin portion of the stamp.

Bookworm Trinkets...a Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peak!

Well it's Day TWO of our Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps !! Are ya ready for more???

Today we’d like to introduce all you READERS to a beautiful new set of Trinkets!!! We are very excited to share with you our GORGEOUS….BOOKWORM TRINKETS!! Eeeek!! Who's been waiting for these?? I know I have!

These circular sentiment stamps have been created and designed by the totally talented Krafty Girl, Nicole Aspinall!! They are made especially to fit in your 1 3/8ths and 1 ¾ inch punches, for quick and easy cutting!!! This month we are releasing the BOOKWORM TRINKETS set which includes EIGHT trinkets in each set! You will get the set as a completely unmounted full sheet of deeply etched grey rubber.

Here's the Bookworm Trinket I decided to work with today...you might recognize her from a previous release...it's Priscilla! I love that we are seeing the return of some favourite images from past releases in miniature form with the trinkets...too much fun! Priscilla was stamped on Neenah with Memento Ink and coloured with Copics. 

Skin: E000, E00, E11 Hair: E50, YR31, E11, E13, E17, E59  Clothes: G00, BG72, BG75, C3, C6, C7  Background: B91, B93, B95, colourless blender  Ground: W1, W3, W5

Here's a shot of the full bookmark. I used some snippets of old paper from my scrap bin. I used a background flourish stamp on the kraft tag and a little piece of crocheted trim to top it off. Spellbinders and a Martha Stewart punch were used for the decorative edges.
