I pulled out our What's the Scoop set, stamped the little ice cream cone in Totally Taupe ink and used my coloured pencils to finish the image. I paired it with some fun Doodlebug paper for an quick and easy summery card. I also used various Krafty Dots. 

Each and every Saturday we post a brand new challenge for the week and you are welcome to enter as many times as you like.

These must be new creations and you are welcome to use any stamp, however, using Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp products will earn you double entries!

The monthly prize is a $25 voucher to the Krafty shop!!!

Christmas in July 2021 Challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps

I'm the hostess this week and my challenge theme is: 

Christmas Animal Pals!

 I inked up one of the images from Santa Paws in Totally Taupe ink, stamped it on watercolour paper and coloured it with coloured pencils. I paper-pieced the dress with some of the coordinating design paper. The sentiment is from the Christmas Cheer set and it was stamped in Wicked Black ink. Both of these sets are on sale this weekend! I also used various Krafty Dots as a finishing touch...you can shop for the Dots HERE.

Dino-mite Pals...Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sneak Peek

Welcome back to Day THREE of our March Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

Today is the final day of peeks and the release party is THIS AFTERNOON at 1pm EST on Facebook!  Are you going to join in and help us celebrate ALL the new sets?

Here's my CAS mini card featuring DINO-MITE PALS. I stamped the dinos on watercolour paper and coloured with with polychromos blended with Gamsol. I also added one of the great sentiments from the set.

Between the pages of a book...a Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge

Hi everyone! Welcome to another challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps. This week we want to see you create ONE LAYER CARDS! 

You have until Friday, March 9th to enter this challenge! Keep in mind, all entries are welcome but you must use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp in order to win.

Here's my single layer card featuring the mouse from Puddle Pals. Some of you joined me last week for a colour along featuring this little guy! He was coloured in Polychromos pencils. The background was created with Inktense blocks. The sentiment comes with the stamp set.

January 2018 Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peeks...Day Two!

Welcome to Day TWO of our January Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

We all have lost furry friends over the years and know friends and family who have also been through such a devastating ordeal. It's hard to know what to do in these situations but I think sending a sweet handmade creation with warm thoughts and hugs is so helpful. With that in mind, we introduce you to a sweet new set called FURRY ANGELS. 

This sweet set features both a dog image and a cat image plus several heartwarming sentiments for your creations.

I stamped the dog from Furry Angels on blue Canson Mi Tientes paper and coloured the image with polychromos coloured pencils. I also used the black and white pencils from the Derwent Drawing set. Furry Holiday Wishes (Kraftin' Kimmie November Release Blog Hop)

For today's hop, I used my favourite image from the Furry Holiday Wishes set. I absolutely adore this little mouse! I stamped him in memento desert sand on kraft and coloured him with polychromos coloured pencils. I used a bit of white prisma premier on the snow and to create the snowflakes. As much as I adore my polys, they have one weakness: the white pencil is too transluscent. I also have the Derwent Drawing Chinese White which is quickly becoming my go-to white pencil. I was just a bit lazy with this piece and since my prisma was within reach, that's what I used, lol. The sentiment comes with the set.

Merry Christmoose....Day 2 of the November 2017 KKS Sneak Peeks!

Welcome to Day Two of our November Krafty Peeks at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!

This is our FINAL stamp release for 2017 at KKS!  We've got FIVE fantastic new sets for you featuring a mixture of holiday, winter and....COFFEE!

Today we are introducing two new stamps from artist Cheryl Grant called MERRY CHRISTMOOSE and BEARY CHRISTMAS! These fun sets feature Cheryl's sweet kids with some furry pals. Each main image comes with 2 or 3 coordinating sentiments.

Here's my card featuring Merry Christmoose. Once again I stamped the image in memento desert sand ink and used coloured pencils. The vast majority of the image is coloured with my Faber Castell Polychromos. In the final layers, I used a couple of prisma premier on the skin (I only have a small handful of those) as well as a couple of Derwent Drawing pencils on the moose. Love how different brands of pencils can be used together.  I still have much to learn with coloured pencils, but I had a lot of fun experimenting with creating a furry texture for the moose. That being said, I think I got a little carried away and made him super fluffy, lol. Let's just say his winter coat has come in. ;) There are a ton of layers in that fur! I decided to only stamp a portion of the image to fit on a smaller card base. The sentiment comes with the set.

Happy Fall Y'all...a Kraftin' Kimmie August Sneak Peek!

Good morning and welcome to Day ONE of the August Krafty Peeks with Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!!

We are kicking things off with an incredible new set from artist, Cheryl Grant! You may recognize it if you purchased the Secret Stamp Set from June! If not, you're going to <3 nbsp="" span=""> it so much...it's called HAPPY FALL, Y'ALL!!'

This set is full of scene building elements to create amazing designs! Of course Lulu is the center of attention along with a fun wagon which you can fill with some of the other images like pumpkins, puppies and kitties!

For my card today, I chose to create a scene using three of the stamps from Happy Fall Y'all. With the help of some masks, I combined the wagon, pumpkins and apple basket. The images were stamped on Mi Tientes pastel paper in Memento Desert Sand. The scene was coloured with Polychromos coloured pencils blended with gamsol.

July 2017 Kraftin' Kimmie Sneak Peeks....Social Sally!

My card today features the adorable Social Sally! She just perfect for sending a little love to all those texters in your life. ;) She also comes with some great coordinating sentiments, one of which I used here on my card. 

Quite a while back, I purchased a complete set of Polychromos coloured pencils...I researched these pencils for a very long time before deciding to purchase. While I love the pencils, I have been struggling to find an affordable paper that I like. I have tried several different types including watercolour papers (both cold and hot pressed) and various mixed media papers. There are a few I'd love to try, but as I mentioned, I'm trying to find something that is budget friendly lol. Now that being said, I truly believe in buying quality materials...sometimes I think the root of artistic frustrations could be alleviated by avoiding low quality supplies (hence my decision to save up to buy the polychromos). It's hard to achieve great results without the proper tools. However, we are all working within a budget, so it's important to find balance. I finally decided to try Canson Mi-Teintes paper. My preferred technique for blending coloured pencils is to use Gamsol, and I have to say that this paper has by far given me the best results out of all those I've tried. I used the smoother side which still has enough tooth for applying multiple layers...that tooth is important! After a few test samples, I dove in and stamped SOCIAL SALLY in Memento Desert Sand. I worked in many layers applied with a light hand so as not to damage the tooth of the paper. Between layers, I blended with a little Gamsol applied with a paint brush. She was completed almost entirely with Polychromos; I did add a few Prisma Premier pencils to my skin combination. I'm still very much a beginner with this medium, but I look forward to working with it more in the future!
